BlizzardVision GFX cards
Well I don`t bloody believe it..!! After 9 months of waiting, the BlizzardVision GFX cards for our beloved AMiGA are finally here.. :D

The BlizzardVision (or BVision for short) for those of you who haven`t the faintest, is a top of the tree graphics card for PowerPC equipped AMiGA`s. The BVision sports the`Permedia 2' 3D chip which obviously not only has blistering 3D performance but also has outstanding 2D performance too..

To be honest, it`s been a real ballache waiting around for these cards to appear but there`s been a bit of history where this is concerned..

The company that were originally producing the cards namely Phase5 (based in Germany) sent a batch of BVisions over here to back up the launch of the PPC boards, but these were quickly snapped up and those people wanting one shortly afterwards (like ME) were constantly reassured that another batch were being sent over to England shortly... ...but this went on for months and months.

Earlier this year Phase5 went into receivership and we all thought that was it..!!!! :(

Not so, a company called DCE took over the production of BVisions and other cards in the PowerPC range and although at one point there was a struggle finding components and a few hardware problems to boot, the initial teething troubles at DCE were ironed out and the cards are now shipping again. WAHOO..!!

Ironically enough, my BVis has just arrived while I`m typing this very article.

My thanks must go to Eyetech for their fast service on this one `cos I only sent my order off two days ago and here beside me is a nice big jiffy bag with groovy but rather expensive goodies inside..!! :)

OK well I`ll leave it that and I must apologise if this message is a little short, but if I`m gonna reach the deadline date (Today) I better get it away pronto. I can`t really be bothered typing anymore than this at this stage `cos I`ve not long been in from work (nights y`see) and I am in a state of serious saggy headedness...

So all that`s left for me to say is long live Grapevine and long live the MiGGy.. We luv ya..
